These details refer to the taxes that are applied to sales in the system. During the system setup/registration process, you applied your applicable default taxes. This tax cannot be removed but it can be edited, and other taxes added. Please include any taxes that are relevant to your specific location or jurisdiction.
Please choose whether you would like to add the defaulted tax to the price of the sale or include it in the price of the sale. *Please note* that you can only have ONE tax included in the price. The others will be added to the price of sale. You can opt to have all taxes added to the price of sale.
‘Will taxes be activated or deactivated for specific events or products?’
Sometimes taxes will be different depending on the type of event/product you are doing/selling (e.g. a charity event).
Choose ‘Yes’ if this is relevant to you and the list of taxes will appear in all event builds so you can customise the tax according to the individual event/product.
Choose ‘No’ if the same taxes are to be activated for all events and they will be applied automatically in all event builds and the tax list will not appear in any of the modules such as event/activities and product build process.

Select EDIT to make changes to a particular tax.
FIRST ON THE LIST ONLY (WITHOUT THE DELETE OPTION)
- It is required that you add a tax name, tax percentage and answer Yes or No as to whether you would like to exclude extra fees and charges from tax*. You can select here whether you would like to add that tax to the price of the sale or include it in the price of the sale. Press ‘Save Tax’ to save changes.
ALL OTHERS ON THE LIST
- You need to add a tax name, tax percentage and answer Yes or No as to whether you would like to exclude extra fees and charges from tax*. Press ‘Save Tax’ to save changes.
*’Exclude extra fees and charges from tax?’
Selecting ‘Yes’ to this will exclude tax being charged to any booking fees such as a transaction fee, per ticket fee, per item fee and/or delivery fee. This is for regions where taxes are not applied to extra fees/charges.
Select ‘No’ to this option for tax to be applied to the total amount of sale.
ACTIONS > Delete Tax Detail Item – Select to delete any added taxes from the list.
ADDITIONAL TAX – Select to add a new tax to the list.
