Release 88 is now live, including Regular Automated Monthly Donations, API updates and 3D Secure implementation for Stripe Gateway. Below are the key updates in this release:
1. Monthly Recurring Donations
Recurring donations allow organisations to receive consistent contributions from donors on a monthly basis. You now have the power to increase your donor revenue.
How to Enable Monthly Donations
- For Stripe as the Primary Payment Gateway:
You can enable monthly donations directly in Donation Builder by creating a new donation campaign or editing an existing one.
- For Other Primary Payment Gateways:
If your primary payment gateway is not Stripe, you can still set up monthly donations via Stripe. Go to Finance Setup under the menu option “Recurring Donations Using Stripe” to configure it.
- In this setup, all regular transactions will continue to be processed through your primary payment gateway, while only monthly recurring donations will be handled by Stripe for both backend and online sales.

2. 3D Secure for Stripe Payments
We have enabled 3D Secure (3DS) for Stripe card payments. If a card supports 3DS, the user will be required to authenticate before completing the transaction. This security measure is now enforced for every applicable transaction.
3. Primary Reconciliation Report – Performance Filter Fix
Previously, if operators selected an event performance along with other module filters (Product, Voucher, Membership, etc.), the report was generating blank results. This issue has been resolved.
4. API and Webhook Version Upgrade
With the recent Stripe SDK upgrade, we have also updated the Webhook API creation version from “2024-10-28” to “2024-10-28.acacia” to align with Stripe’s latest API requirements.
5. Regular Donation Feature Improvements
The Default Donate a Ticket Back Campaign was appearing in multiple areas (Reports, Tag Builder, Link Generation, Deal Builder, and the Donation Import Section) even when the feature was disabled. This has been corrected.
6. Transaction Report Donation Fix
An issue was reported where the Transaction Report showed double the donation amount when a donation was exchanged with another donation. This has now been fixed.
7. Event/Module Analysis Report Update
We have updated the ‘Total Spend (All Modules)’ column in the Event/Module Analysis report and fixed spacing issues.
