New Email Notification & Confirmation Process: We are introducing an enhanced email notification and confirmation system, Questionnaire Updates: You can now hide response options in questionnaires and adjust them as needed, View Sent Emails/SMS: Gain the ability to view all emails and SMS messages successfully sent to a customer’s profile, Schedule Private Events: Schedule private events, Mark Events as Private: Specify certain dates and times as private for events, Changes to Phone Number Entry: We’ve made adjustments to the online customer purchasing process related to phone numbers.

  1. Enhanced Email Subscription Notification & Confirmation Feature:

We have added a new feature that includes a confirmation process for customers subscribing or unsubscribing from an email list. This confirmation will be sent to the customer, confirming their decision to either opt in or opt out. Furthermore, we have introduced an option where customers, upon subscribing or unsubscribing, will receive a template requiring them to click on their preferences. This step adds an extra layer of clarity and transparency, empowering customers to explicitly express their communication preferences. Note: The existing default process involves no notification or confirmation emails. To enable this new option, you need to activate it.

2. Google Wallet Grouping

Google Wallet now enables grouping, which organizes tickets from TicketSearch in a customer’s Apple Wallet sequentially under a single group. When purchasing multiple tickets for the same session.

3. Improved Phone Number Input on Finalize Order Screen

In response to user feedback, we have enhanced the phone number field on the Finalize Order screen for a more user-friendly experience. The update includes the separation of boxes for the area code and the phone number, streamlining the input process and improving accuracy during order finalization. You’ll find a dropdown directional arrow to choose a country code (NB. the country code consistently defaults to your organization’s country code).

In a future release, the boxes will appear as below:

4. Updates to Questionnaire Functionality:

  • Enhanced flexibility by enabling the modification of answers to questions in questionnaires. If you have a question “What meal do you prefer?” and the response options include choices such as Chicken, Meat, Vegan, etc., you can now customize and modify the answer options according to your preferences within the questionnaire, which was not previously available.
  • Introduced the ability to show/hide a question within a questionnaire, while still displaying responses on the patron’s account.
  • Resolved a display issue where previewing a questionnaire with an image was not showing the backend/box office information.
  • Fixed an issue preventing the deletion of a question with no responses.

5. Enhancements to Email Scheduling:

We have improved the email scheduling feature by displaying a comprehensive list of all emails and SMS messages scheduled for delivery directly within the patrons’ account section, where email sends are typically viewed.  These records are being provided directly from Amazon servers when an email or SMS is sent, enabling you to respond appropriately to any customer service requests.

Below is a list of all the Emails/SMs messages which will be displayed:

1. Pre event email/SMS

2. Post event email/SMS

3. Event Date/Time change email

4. Cancel event email/SMS

5. Confirmation email/SMS

6. Reservation email

7. Reservation reminder email

8. Reservation cancel email

9. Refund email

10. Donation/Fundraising Email

6. Extension of Pre and Post Email Timing:

We have extended the time frame for both pre and post-event emails. Previously limited to 3 digits, it can now be set up to 4 digits, allowing for more flexibility in scheduling. This means you can schedule pre-event emails up to 9999 days or 9999 hours before the event.

7. Inclusion of Door Letter/Number in Order Summary Tag

We have enhanced the {Order Summary} tag in Confirmation emails to now incorporate the door letter/number where applicable.

8. Improved Customer Search Navigation:

Previously, when searching for a customer and obtaining results, the system would default to displaying the results at the bottom of the page, sometimes leading to a blank page. With the recent update, the system will now default to presenting search results at the top of the page for a more user-friendly experience.

9. Inclusion of Patron ID on Finalize Order Screen:

We have implemented an enhancement on the Finalize Order screen, where the patron’s ID number is now displayed within a designated box. This additional feature provides a convenient reference point for matching the right customer to the order, enhancing order accuracy and customer identification.

10. We have updated all alerts, both on the online platform and in the backend, to utilize the following overlays:

11. Automated Notifications for Gift Voucher and Membership Expiry Date Changes

When making changes to gift voucher and membership expiry dates directly from the listing grid, you now have the option to send an email notification to customers regarding this modification. Below, find instructions on selecting a template for these notifications, along with details on where to access and modify the chosen template.

12. Event Scheduling and Privacy Features

Scheduling Private Events:

Now you can schedule private events to go on and off by setting the on-sale time. The event will become available online at the specified time.

Easily mark a specific event as private directly from the events list page. For instance, on December 19th, you can effortlessly set “The Wiggles” event to automatically transition from private to public, making it available for purchase without any manual intervention.

To do this, go to Step 1: General Information in your event setup. In the top-right corner, you’ll find the ‘Private’ checkbox. When selected, a new question will emerge, enabling you to schedule the removal of this option and make the event public at a designated date and time.

Please note: This schedule to display time should be 30 minutes from the current time.

Following the scheduled time, a batch job will automatically make the event public, unticking the ‘Private’ checkbox since the event is now public. Consequently, the aforementioned section will disappear as it is no longer relevant.

13. Making Sessions/Performances Private:

Make a particular session or performance private by simply toggling the switch. This allows for quick and convenient control over the privacy status of specific event components. This functionality is useful if you need to deactivate a specific sales session and subsequently handle any refund or exchange processes.

We’ve introduced a Ticket Number Range feature in the customer search fields, allowing for more precise ticket tracking. If you’re printing tickets, especially for outlets, currently you can assign unique numbers to your printed tickets. Here’s how:

  1. Navigate to the event in question.
  2. In Step 3, labeled ‘Options,’ you can now find the ‘Ticket Number Range’ field.
  3. Positioned at the bottom right of the transaction, this field enables you to input either a single number or a range, such as 20-30 or just 20.

This enhancement provides greater flexibility and control when managing and searching for customer transactions associated with specific ticket numbers.

15. Enhanced Visibility for Stripe Users

We’re excited to introduce a new update for users employing Stripe as their gateway. In this enhancement, we’ve increased the text size of the prompt “Select card type to continue” to improve overall visibility. This adjustment aims to make the card selection process more straightforward and user-friendly during transactions.

16. The “kill hold” type was initially quite dark in colour , but we have globally adjusted it to be slightly lighter. The “kill hold” type is employed to remove seats from the display, and the color and “kill hold” type are presented in relation to hold templates or session-level templates.

17. Relocation of Refundable Booking Option:

The refundable booking feature has been transferred from Event/Product Settings to the Organization Settings under General Settings. This change is made to align with the organization.

18. Resolved Hold Code Issue

Previously, when changing a performance session’s date or time with different holds in the backend/box office application, the default orange color was persisting despite the implementation of a new function to display holds in their designated colors. We have addressed this issue, and holds are now correctly shown in their respective colors as intended.

19. Enforcing Mandatory Emails Online

We have implemented a requirement for mandatory email entry during online processes. This means that customers will be required to enter their email address when completing purchases. This will be facilitated through the customer field setup.

20. Resolved Stripe Terminal Issue:

We have successfully addressed an issue with the Stripe Terminal (Eftpos). Previously, if you selected cash and then card during a sale using the Stripe terminal, an error occurred, particularly affecting fast sales. This issue has been fixed, and transactions can now proceed smoothly without encountering the error.

Steps Leading to the Error:

  1. Initiate a purchase of “Test Event” from the fast sales section.
  2. Select the terminal option and complete the order.
  3. After confirming the order, remain on the same page without navigating elsewhere or refreshing.
  4. Attempt to process another order for the same event, opting for cash payment, resulting in the encountered error.

This issue arose when performing a series of specific steps as outlined above, and the error occurred when attempting to process a subsequent order using cash under these circumstances.

21. Multi Promo Code Tip: When you add multiple seats, a prompt appears allowing you to select your ticket types. Previously, the promo code tip was not visible for back-end sales through the box office. It has now been added to enhance clarity, ensuring that all clients understand they can enter multiple promo codes with commas in between.

22.Stripe Terminal Payment Method Color Update: In Fast Sales, we’ve made a visual improvement to the Stripe Terminal payment method. Now, when selected, it changes color to blue,  this visual cue is designed to clearly indicate that the payment method has been chosen.

23. Resolved Issue: Payment Intent Error in Fast Sales for Terminal and Cash Transactions: Previously, an issue occurred when an operator made a sale using the terminal in Fast Sales, and then the next sale for the same event was processed in Fast Sales using cash, resulting in a payment intent error. This issue has now been resolved.

24. Issue Resolved: Duplicate Batch Print Quantity Display

Previously, when there were three tickets in a transaction and the operator clicked on “Select All To Print,” the system correctly displayed the ticket count on the second page. However, when the same search result was used for batch printing and the operator clicked on “Select To Print,” the count appeared duplicated. It’s important to note that the actual tickets set to be printed were accurate (as shown in image 2). For instance, even though the count incorrectly showed 9, there were only 3 tickets. This issue has now been resolved.

25. Updated Pricing Template in Subscriptions and Packages: Improved Validation

In the subs and package build (Step 2) which is sub pricing area, if no price is entered, the validation message has been revised. Instead of the previous message, it now reads: “Please enter the required ticket fee to continue,” as illustrated in the image below, originally, we had “Ticket Fee are required”.

26. Enhanced Copy Mode Functionality: Avoiding Unintended Modifications

Previously, undoing unsaved changes in copy mode would inadvertently revert to the main layout rather than the copied one. The system has been updated to prevent this, ensuring a more accurate and user-friendly venue layout copying process.

27. Refined Seat Status Representation during Session-level Editing

When editing the venue layout at the session level from event step 3, multiple improvements have been introduced:

  • Sold or in-progress seats are now highlighted in orange, accompanied by a legend for clearer identification.
  • When any seat, row, or table has one or more seats sold, the following fields will be disabled and appear greyed out. Users can click on the information (I) icon next to these fields to access a text explanation clarifying why these fields cannot be edited. This update aims to provide users with a transparent understanding of the restrictions imposed on certain fields due to sold seats.
  • When initiating the editing process at event step 3, a warning popup has been implemented. Based on the user’s selection in response to the warning, the system takes action to enhance the editing experience. Specifically, if the user chooses to proceed, the corresponding session is marked as inactive. This precautionary measure aims to prevent potential complications in sales that may arise during the layout editing phase.

28. Enhanced Validation Message for Email Report Edits

We’ve updated the validation message when attempting to edit email reports in the scheduled report list. The new message provides clearer guidance and information to ensure a smoother experience during the editing process.

29. Removal from SMS Area in Tools and Templates

To streamline and improve clarity, we have removed PWYF (Pay What You Feel) SMS from the SMS area under Tools and Templates. Now, you can find PWYF SMS exclusively under the dedicated PWYF section for a more organized and efficient experience.

30. Tax Update Warning at Module Level

To enhance user awareness and prevent unintended consequences, we have introduced a warning prompt when updating taxes at the module level.

31. Mobile Checkout Optimization

When using a mobile device, the shopping cart will automatically expand if there are cross-sell options available. Presently, when any cross-sell, special offer, or both are present on the checkout page, the mobile order summary will automatically expand to display the cross-sell or special offer.

In its expanded state, it will appear as follows, requiring the user to scroll down to access the regular checkout page fields.

If there are no cross-sell or special offers, the order summary will be closed by default, as shown below.
