Mini Release 90

We’re excited to introduce Mini Release 90, bringing important enhancements to improve your experience. This update includes expanded sold-out message limits, improved customer profile validation, and a more flexible global customer search.

Check out the details below!

1. Increased Maximum Length for Sold-Out Messages

The maximum character limit for sold-out messages has been increased to 4,000 characters at the module level. This update aligns with the existing character limit for allocation exhausted messages.

2. Validation Messages Now Displayed at the Top When Creating/Editing Customer Profiles

When adding or editing a customer profile in the backend, validation messages will now appear at the top of the page. Previously, validation errors were displayed inline, requiring users to scroll to locate them. If multiple validation errors occur, they will be grouped together and displayed as a list for better visibility.

3. Enhancements to Global Customer Search

We have improved the global customer search functionality in the backend. The changes primarily impact name searches, while searches by other parameters (such as email) remain unchanged.

Example (Customer Name: John Smith)

After the Update:

  • Searching “Joh” → ✅ Returns the customer
  • Searching “Smi” → ✅ Returns the customer
  • Searching “John, Smith” → ✅ Returns the customer
  • Searching “Smith, John” → ✅ Returns the customer
  • Searching “John, S” → ✅ Returns the customer
  • Searching “Smith, J” → ✅ Returns the customer

Key Points for Searching:

  1. Minimum Characters:
When searching by either the first name or last name, at least 3 characters are required. For example, “Joh” will return results, but “Jo” will not.
  2. Full First Name with Partial Last Name:
If you search using the full first name and partial last name, just one character from the last name is enough. For example, “John, S” will return the customer.
  3. Full Last Name with Partial First Name:
Similarly, when searching by full last name and partial first name, just one character from the first name is fine. For example, “Smith, J” will return the customer.
  4. Full Name in Order:
When searching by both first and last names, the name you input first (before the comma) must be fully typed. After that, you only need one character from the second name. For example:
    • “John, Smith” or “Smith, John” will work.
    • “Jo, Smi” will not work, as both names must be fully entered before the comma.

4. Report Optimization: “Customer Evaluation” & “Primary Marketing” Reports:

We’ve enhanced the speed of the “Customer Evaluation” & “Primary Marketing” Reports, ensuring smoother functionality.

5. Membership Report Enhancements

We’ve enhanced the Membership Report by integrating details of primary and secondary members, providing a comprehensive view of membership data for improved analysis and management.

6. Customer Evaluation Report Enhancement:

We’ve introduced the ‘Optin’ filter in the Customer Evaluation Report, enabling users to generate reports based on customer opt-in preferences. This feature can be accessed within the report under the “Modules and Other” filters section.

7. Doorlist Report Enhancement:

We have implemented the addition of the ‘Donation Type’ column in the Doorlist Report. This column will now showcase the type of donation made by a customer, including whether it was a suggested value amount, a custom amount, or part of an event add-on, subscription, or deal. It will also indicate the value and whether it was suggested, a custom amount, donor level, or round-up (based on your settings).

8. Primary Reconciliation & Transaction Reports Optimization:

Optimization efforts have been implemented for the primary reconciliation and transaction reports, resulting in increased speed and efficiency.
