Manage venue: Doors / gates

This area allows you to assign doors/gates (or whatever you call an entry point to your venue) to seats on your seat map. This means that when you roll over the seat to purchase, it will display the door/gate that a customer/patron needs to enter via to promptly find their seat(s). Also, when the correct tag is used on a ticket, it will be displayed there for the customer’s reference. To enter into this area from the manage venues table after a venue has been created, simply click ‘+ Add’ under Doors/Gates in the correct row or select the pencil icon to edit an existing door template.

Click the ‘+ Add New Door Template’ button to add a new Door Template.

1. Door Template Name: This is the unique name for your reference of this particular door template i.e. Main Template, Opening Nights, Matinee.

2. Select a Door from the list or click ‘+ Add New Door’ to add a new door: Here you can select an existing door name from the drop-down list or create a new one. This is a global list of door names.

To add a new door, enter a unique door name and select an identifying colour so that when you allocate the door to your section/seats, you’ll be able to easily identify which seats are allocated to which door. Press ‘SAVE’ to save your changes or ‘CANCEL’ to ignore changes.

3. Select Sections/Seats on the seat map and click the ‘Assign’ button to assign the Door – *Important – to assign a different Door, repeat steps 2 and 3 for each different Door: Here you can select which seats apply to which door.
