Google Analytics is a web analytics service that tracks and reports website traffic, currently as a platform inside the Google Marketing Platform. This is a free service offered by Google to track your customers habits. For instance, it can show you where they drop off through your website. To enable this function select ‘yes’ and enter your google analytics ID.

To locate your Google Analytics ID:

  1. Login into your Analytics account.
  2. Click Admin.
  3. Select an account from the menu in the ACCOUNT column.
  4. Select a property from the menu in the PROPERTY column.
  5. Under PROPERTY, click Tracking Info > Tracking Code. Your Google Analytics ID is displayed at the top of the page.

What is the difference between Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics?

Google Tag Manager lets you manage various Javascript tracking codes (also known as Tags) on your website. Google Analytics tracking code is one of those tags. Google Analytics is an analytics tool that provides reports. It is used to send data from your website to other marketing/analytics tools (including GA).
