Make your selections to set the conditions for this Deal/Discount.
Current
If you select ‘Current’ this will mean that you will be creating a Deal/Discount from today moving forward. Remember here that you can create multiple scenarios that you can add to the table if you are basing the Deal/Discount on specific Events, Sessions, Price Levels and Ticket Types. You may also choose to simply base the Deal/Discount on a certain Ticket Type (e.g. 15% off for students). You can do this by selecting ‘Student’ (if this is one of your existing ticket types) from the Ticket Type field underneath the table below. We suggest that if you choose to ‘set conditions to qualify based on customer activity’, to build that Deal/Discount separately to the other criteria.
TIP: The Deal/Discount value (e.g. 15% off) is set on the next page in Step 2. Here you select the criteria to be eligible for the Deal/Discount.
Venue Filter:To assist in the filtering of content, particularly with those organisations that have many venues, you have the option to select one or more venues below. If you do not select a venue from the venue filter below, you will not be able to see any venue options in the second drop down list. Instead, you can proceed directly to the select by Events, Sessions (dates/times), Price Levels and Ticket Types.
Once you have selected your criteria below, please remember to click ‘Add’ to include your deal restriction options to the table. For example, you may want to add a Deal/Discount where if a customer purchases from ABC venue, The Lion King Event, for the price scale VIP and ticket type Premium. If you prefer to add a Deal/Discount where only an event was applicable and there is no restriction on what date/time, price scale or ticket type the customer has access to, simply select the event only. All options against the event will then apply (date/time/price scale/ticket type).
Select Quantity Type
This is where you set the quantity values that apply to your Deal/Discount.
No Quantity: By selecting this option, your Deal/Discount will have no quantity limit for this particular Event/Session/Price Level/Ticket Type.
Fixed Quantity: By selecting this option, it will limit your Deal/Discount to a specific number of tickets. A box will appear below asking you to ‘Enter quantity’. An example for this would be if you set your quantity to 4 you will need to purchase 4 tickets exactly to be eligible for the Deal/Discount (not 3 and not 5).
Range Quantity: When clicking on this, it will force your Deal/Discount to require a quantity range. Two boxes will appear below requesting a quantity range ‘From’ and ‘To’. For example, you may put between 2 and 5, meaning the customer can purchase between 2 and 5 tickets to meet the criteria for this Deal/Discount for that Event/Session/Price Level/Ticket Type.
Tip: For ticket types where the minimum and maximum are equal, e.g. Family pass of 4 (min 4, max 4), when taking into account the quantity, the pass is considered as a quantity of 1. However, if you select 10 as the fixed quantity, or select a range, the system will consider the 10 family passes as 40 tickets (10 family passes x 4 tickets = 40).

You can choose to click ‘Any’ or ‘All’ which refers to if you want the Deal/Discount to apply to any of the ticket types selected or if the Deal/Discount will only apply if the customer has all of the ticket types selected.

For example, you may have set a fixed quantity of 1 for each of the 10 Events/Sessions/Price Levels/Ticket Types in the above table, but here you add a min of 2 and a maximum of 4 meaning that the customer has to buy at least 2 of these options, but they are capped at buying 4 in total for this Deal/Discount. This Min and Max applies to the criteria created in the table above as well as if you restrict by ‘Ticket Type’. These functions can only be carried out individually, i.e. adding to the table or restricting by ticket type.
